Special Features

The shoes have also been meticulously designed to honor our Native culture. Along with our unique bottom sole Medicine Wheel and Yaqui Cross symbols, we have embroidered a Medicine Wheel and Feathers on the side of each vamp for a distinctive touch.

To further enhance the therapeutic benefits of our stabilizing rocker sole, we have carefully designed the bottom of the sole. The Medicine Wheel and Feathers at the center of the heel and the Yaqui Cross under the first metatarsal (where the big toe bends) are made of a shock absorbing gel to help ease the excessive pressures in these areas while walking, and the diagonal patterns under the forefoot help direct a proper walking gait easing excessive pressures under the distal end of the toes.

The rocker sole is designed to alleviate pressure of the forefoot.

Each pair of shoes comes with a specifically designed arch support, constructed of a medical grade Plastazote® top cover, and a shock absorbing resiliant foam base. This is one of the best combinations of insole materials for the protection of diabetic plantar foot complications.
